The DOV150150-MXXX-2C is the motorized evolution of the Dovetail-Series, combining precision dovetail linear air bearing guides with a fully integrated drive system for turnkey ultra-precision motion. Configured with dual, independently motorized air bearing carriages, each equipped with its own dedicated encoder, the system is engineered for applications requiring smooth, vibration-free, and maintenance-free linear movement, delivering nanometer-level positioning with reliable repeatability and advanced motion control.
Manufactured from premium aircraft-grade materials, the Dovetail-Series guide features a porous graphite air bearing surface that ensures uniform air distribution and optimal stiffness. The dual-carriage, vacuum-preloaded architecture maintains non-contact operation while increasing rigidity and moment load capacity, providing exceptional accuracy and eliminating stick-slip or mechanical wear.
Each carriage incorporates a factory-aligned motor and encoder, enabling synchronized or independent motion profiles within a single platform. This plug-and-play configuration simplifies installation, reduces integration time, and expands system flexibility. The rail platform length is fully customizable to support a wide range of travel requirements. Like its non-motorized counterpart, the system includes a pre-tensioned brake function on each carriage for stable positioning under load, now combined with precise, controllable motion through the integrated drive system.
